(Atlanta, GA) — Georgia election officials have discovered a phone recording between former President Trump and a state investigator in the trash folder on her device. The phone call between Trump and investigator Frances Watson took place on December 23rd, just weeks after the Electoral College certified the 2020 election results. Many news outlets without proof, reported quotes directly from that call- claiming Trump tried to coerce the election official- that turn out to be false. The recording of the call was discovered in Watson’s deleted items folder after the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office responded to a public records request. Trump continued to push claims of widespread voter fraud and tried to pressure Georgia election officials as they certified the state’s election results. read more from the NY Post here:
