Most COVID Restrictions Ending In CA June 15

(Sacramento, CA) — California plans to end almost all coronavirus restrictions in about two months, at just about the time that the period for signers of the recall Gavin Newsom petitions to withdraw those signatures if they choose. Health secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly says more than 20-million doses of vaccine have been given and both hospitalization and death rates continue to fall. As long as that continues, California will drop the current color tier system and open up the whole state on June 15th. However, the mask mandate will continue and indoor convention centers will still have capacity limits. Bars restaurants, sporting and concert venues will be allowed to open at 100-percent capacity. Meantime, all Californians age 16 and up finally will be eligible for the COVID vaccine by April 15th.
