Giuliani Asks Court To Dismiss Dominion Lawsuit

(Washington, DC) — Former Trump lawyer and New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani wants a federal court to throw out Dominion Voting System’s one-point-three-billion-dollar defamation lawsuit. Dominion brought the suit because of Giuliani’s attacks against it in relation to last year’s election. The motion filed in court Wednesday did not go into the merits of Dominion’s claims, but instead argued the company did not “satisfy procedural requirements.” Dominion accuses Giuliani of intentionally spreading lies about its work to sow doubt that President Biden defeated former President Trump and blamed him for helping to incite the January 6th Capitol riot. They have also filed suits against former Trump attorney Sidney Powell and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell for their election fraud claims.
