Former President Trump Says Biden Should Not Delay Afghanistan Withdrawal

(Palm Beach, FL) — Former President Trump is calling out his successor on how he is handling the troop withdrawal in Afghanistan. Trump issued a statement Sunday saying President Biden should get troops out of the war-torn country by the end of this month as he had planned to if he was still in office. The former commander-in-chief believes the conflict has gone on too long, saying “19 years is enough.” He also criticized the target date of September 11th because that day “represents a very sad event” and the day “should remain a day of reflection and remembrance honoring the great souls we lost.” Meanwhile, many GOP lawmakers have criticized the planned withdrawal, saying we are pulling out too soon and it puts American security at risk. Biden recently announced the move, saying it was time to focus on the fights of 2021, and not 2001.
