Not So Fast: J & J Vax Production At Maryland Plant Halted By FDA

(Baltimore, MD) — Production of Johnson and Johnson’s COVID vaccine is being stopped by the F-D-A at a Baltimore plant where millions of doses were ruined last month. Emergent BioSolutions, the company that owns and runs the plant, said the regulatory agency requested the stop on April 16th pending an inspection. Johnson and Johnson was put in charge of the plant earlier this month by the federal government after an error in which ingredients from AstraZeneca’s shot, which was also being produced at the plant, contaminated the J&J shot.
