Peloton Sued Over Safety Concerns

By

/

(New York, New York) — A woman is suing Peloton over claims its fitness equipment is unsafe, despite being marketed as family-friendly. Shannon Albright says Peloton’s warnings aren’t enough to convey the danger of the Tread-Plus. Albright says the design of the treadmill is the problem, as she argues children and pets are “extremely susceptible” to getting caught underneath. The lawsuit claims at least one child has been killed and dozens more have suffered injuries, from bruising to broken bones. Albright is seeking over five-million-dollars in damages and is trying to form a class-action against the company.
