(Undated) — Actor Johnny Crawford is dead at age 75. Crawford, who played Chuck Conners’ young son on the ABC series “The Rifleman” died Thursday. A post on the Johnny Crawford Legacy website said “he passed away peacefully” with his wife Charlotte at his side. Crawford was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2019 before he contracted COVID-19 and then pneumonia. Along with being one of the original Mouseketeers, Crawford was nominated for a best supporting actor award at the 1959 Emmys.
