Biden Reacts To Disappointing Monthly Jobs Report On His Watch; Deflects Blame

(Washington, DC) — President Biden reacted Friday to the disappointing April jobs report. Speaking from the White House, the President said the U.S. is still recovering from a once-in-a-century pandemic and economic crisis. The economy added 266-thousand jobs in April, far below expectations. The unemployment rate ticked-up, from six-percent to six-point-one percent. It was 14-point-eight percent in April 2020, but only 4.4% in March 2020.. Biden said the economy is moving in the right direction, but warned there’s still a long way to go. See a chart here:
