(Washington, DC) — A group of lawmakers is introducing a bipartisan bill to lift the ban on the mailing of alcohol through the U.S. Postal Service, or USPS. Sponsors of the bill called the longstanding ban outdated and nonsensical. The new measure aims to allow USPS to ship licensed alcoholic beverages to anyone over the age of 21. It would have to comply with local and state shipping regulations.
