(Sacramento, CA) — State health officials are aligning the mask mandate with guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in contra version of a decree last week by CAL/OSHA. California’s Health and Human Services Secretary Doctor Mark Ghaly  announced the change today. After June 15th, those who are fully vaccinated against the virus –masks will no longer need to wear masks in most settings, including the workplace. Last week CAL/OSHA said that masks would be required if even one person in the workplace was unvaccinated. Now. those who are not vaccinated must continue to wear face coverings in indoor settings. Other areas where masks are required for all individuals include airports, public transportation, K-12 schools, prisons, and large live events.
