(Vatican City) — The Vatican says Pope Francis is out of surgery on his large intestine. A spokesman for the Holy See said the Pontiff reacted well to the operation, described as scheduled surgical intervention” for an inflammation in the walls of the colon. The 84-year-old Pope is being treated at a hospital in Rome.
