(Simi Valley, CA) — A 100th birthday celebration for the MGM starlet-turned-First Lady of the United States will be held Tuesday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley. An event to honor the birth of Nancy Reagan takes place at the museum starting at 3:00 p.m. The centennial will include a keynote speech from former California Governor Pete Wilson and a book signing with author Karen Tumulty — who wrote “The Triumph of Nancy Reagan.” The event is free — however, reservations are recommended. Before becoming First Lady of California and the U.S. — Mrs. Reagan enjoyed a modest career in Hollywood. Some of the films she appeared in include “The Next Voice You Hear,” “East Side, West Side,” “Shadow on the Wall” and “Hellcats of the Navy” — which co-starred Ronald Reagan.
