Report: Two More Women Have Accused Governor Cuomo Of Misconduct (New York, NY) — Two more women have reportedly come forward to accuse New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexual misconduct. The New York Post reports both women contacted the state Attorney General, but were then directed to local law enforcement authorities, given the AG’s report has since been closed. It’s not clear what the circumstances are regarding these latest women, and the Post says AG Leticia James wasn’t even briefed. Her report contains allegations from eleven women, nine of whom either worked for a state agency or one affiliated with the state.
Cuomo Seeks Deal To Try And Avoid Impeachment (Albany, NY) — New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is reportedly trying to negotiate a deal to squash the impeachment probe against him. Sources are telling “The City,” that the governor is trying to convince top state lawmakers to abandon the impeachment investigation if he agrees not to run for anther term. The outlet reports that lawmakers are not buying that deal. Cuomo faces numerous calls to resign after a state attorney general report accused him of sexually harassing numerous women. Cuomo denies the allegations. His top aide, Melissa DeRosa resigned Sunday night.

That’s per an article in the New York Times, which quotes an anonymous source who reportedly overheard private conversations. It’s also noteworthy that the AG’s report accusing Cuomo of sexual harassment mentions both the governor and DeRosa nearly an equal amount of times. DeRosa has been criticized for her role in allegedly covering up allegations of sexual harassment, and the true number of COVID-19 nursing home deaths. In a statement DeRosa said serving the state was an honor, but adds the last two years were very trying emotionally and mentally.
