(Washington, DC) — Figures show more Americans are quitting their jobs even as fewer positions are available. The Labor Department’s JOLTS report shows job postings fell to ten-point-four million in August, which is a drop of 659-thousand from July. Meanwhile, a record four-point-three million people quit their jobs in August with food and retail workers leading the way. The leisure and hospitality industry saw the biggest decline in hiring nationwide.
