Former Governor Cuomo Charged

(Albany, NY) — Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is facing a misdemeanor for allegedly groping a woman at the governor’s mansion last year. The charge is forcible touching and could land Cuomo a year in jail. The sheriff’s office says Cuomo will have to surrender to the charges and be photographed and fingerprinted. He’s expected to surrender in Albany on November 17th. Cuomo has denied any wrongdoing.

This follows a criminal probe that stemmed from a number of women who accused the former Democratic governor of inappropriate sexual conduct. Cuomo resigned in August as state lawmakers were preparing impeachment proceedings.

NY Attorney General James Comments On Cuomo Charge

(New York, NY) — New York Attorney General Letitia James is commenting on criminal charges brought against former Governor Andrew Cuomo. James, who might run for governor, issued a statement that said the charges further backed her findings. She said from the moment her office received the referral that former Governor Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, “we proceeded without fear or favor. The criminal charges brought today against Cuomo further validate the findings of our report.”

Cuomo’s Attorney Responds To Charge Against Him

(Albany, NY) — Andrew Cuomo’s attorney is responding to a misdemeanor charge filed against the former New York Governor. Cuomo allegedly groped a woman at the governor’s mansion last year. His attorney said he has never assaulted anyone and questioned the sheriff’s department that filed the charge. Cuomo is expected to surrender to the charge in Albany on November 17th.
