BLM Slams NYC Mayor-Elect

(New York, NY) — A Black Lives Matter leader says there will be “riots,” “fire,” and “bloodshed” if the city’s mayor-elect brings back the NYPD’s Anti-Crime Unit. BLM New York co-founder Chivona Newsome also compared Mayor-elect Eric Adams to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and claimed Adams wants a New York where “Black folks get their heads cracked by law-enforcement.” The Anti-Crime unit was disbanded in the years that followed the chokehold death of Eric Garner who said “I can’t breathe” during his arrest. Adams, a former New York Police captain, said he plans to bring back a version of the unit, but “will listen to all New Yorkers”
