(Sacramento, CA) — A conservative organization is suing California over a law to force diversity on corporate boards. Attorneys for the National Center for Public Policy Research filed a complaint in federal court in Sacramento today. The lawsuit notes Assembly Bill 979 that was signed into law by Governor Newsom last year is unconstitutional. At issue is the requirement that companies in California appoint more ethnically diverse and LGBTQ individuals to board positions by the end of this year.
