(Los Angeles, CA) — One-hundred-thirteen Los Angeles city firefighters are off duty without pay after refusing to follow coronavirus vaccination orders. Last week, 222 firefighters were handed notices saying they hadn’t complied with the city’s vaccination mandate, and had two days left to do so. Eighty-four complied, and this week, those who didn’t were sent home. Twenty-five more decided to comply this week and were allowed to return to work. An attorney representing the firefighters’ union says, in a couple weeks, 400 LAFD employees could be on unpaid leave for not getting vaccinated
