(Undated) — Scientists are announcing the discovering a huge planet that orbits two extremely large and hot stars. In an article published in Nature Wednesday, the planet called “b Centauri b” is ten times the size of Jupiter, and is also notable because it was previously believed planets could not form in the type of environment it is located in. The European Southern Observatory said in the article that until now, no planets had been found around a star more than three times the size of the sun. Stockholm University Astronomy Professor Markus Johnson says the discovery “completely changes the picture about massive stars as planet hosts.”
