(Sacramento, CA) — California’s drought is showing signs of improvement. The US Drought Monitor says, as of Tuesday, roughly 17-percent of the state is in the Extreme or Exceptional Drought categories. This covers the northern San Joaquin Valley and most of the Sacramento Valley up to the Oregon border. More than half of California is in the third-highest Severe Drought category. More than 30-percent is in Moderate Drought. Officials say back in early October, 90-percent of the state was in either Extreme or Exceptional Drought.
