(New York, NY) — New research says there were nearly two-million excess deaths from air pollution in 2019. The studies published in the The Lancet Planetary Health put that number at one-point-eight million. Air pollution is also being blamed for tons of children coming down with asthma. The studies put that number at nearly two-million. Researchers found 86-percent of people in cities around the globe dealt with air pollution that exceeded a WHO metric on safe particulate matter. That number comes out to around two-and-a-half billion people.
