Caitlyn Jenner Speaks Out About Trans Swimmer

(Los Angeles, CA) — Caitlyn Jenner is speaking out about University of Pennsylvania transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. The former Olympian said Thomas competing in women’s swimming is not good for the sport due to uneven competition.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The NCAA will let each sport decide its own transgender policies. The new policy announced Wednesday puts the onus on each sport’s national governing body to decide who can play. The previous policy, adopted in 2010, was based on hormone therapy requirements and applied to all sports equally. The new rules are an effort to bring policies more in line with those of the International Olympic Committee.

The NCAA is set to discuss transgender participation in sports tomorrow. Jenner suggested stricter rules should be put in place for transgender athletes.

Caitlyn Jenner said this battle is not good for the transgender community. Jenner said political correctness doesn’t work in these situations.
