(Sacramento, CA) — California’s unemployment rate is at six-point-five-percent, the highest in the country. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, California’s leisure and hospitality sectors are still sluggish in terms of job growth, with 15-thousand jobs added last month. However, despite the higher rate of joblessness in the state, economists say December’s numbers show that non-farm payrolls in California topped every other state at 50-thousand-seven-hundred jobs.
