(New York, NY) — Jeff Zucker is resigning from CNN. The network’s Worldwide President is stepping down after he didn’t disclose a relationship with a long-time colleague. He said he was asked about the relationship during an investigation into former anchor Chris Cuomo’s time at the network. Zucker admitted the “relationship evolved in recent years” and he should’ve made that known. He said he didn’t do that and he’s stepping down.
This is the latest high-profile personnel problem at the failing cable outlet. Recently the departure of Chris Cuomo for improperly using his show to help his disgraced brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the suspension and return of Zoom pleasurer Jeffrey Toobin and the reports of two producers being investigated for sexual impropriety have brought CNN under scrutiny.
