(Undated) — The U.S. Postal Service’s plan to spend billions on gas-powered vehicles is facing scrutiny from the Biden administration. The EPA and the White House Council on Environmental Quality sent a letter to the Postal Service today, urging them to hold a public hearing. Associate administrator of policy for the EPA, Vicki Arroyo, said this is a “crucial lost opportunity” to reduce carbon emissions. Biden has pledged to replace the nation’s federal fleet with 600-thousand electric-powered cars and trucks by 2030.
