Rams Coach: I’m Not Leaving For A TV Job

(Los Angeles, CA) — It looks like Sean McVay is staying with the Rams. The 36-year-old Super Bowl-winning head coach touched off speculation two weeks ago that he may be leaving the NFL team to pursue broadcasting opportunities and focus on his upcoming marriage. However — ESPN reporter Adam Schefter posted on Twitter that McVay told the network he’s committed to coaching the Rams in 2022. McVay was reportedly scheduled to meet with Amazon next week about a “Thursday Night Football” commentator position. The Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-to-20 at SoFi Stadium in Super Bowl 56 to capture their first Lombardi Trophy since the team moved back to Los Angeles.

(Thousand Oaks, CA) — The Super Bowl champions may be leaving Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. The “Los Angeles Times” says the Rams are in negotiations to purchase a 34-acre site in Woodland Hills where a shopping mall complex once stood. The NFL franchise would redevelop the property into a practice facility and team headquarters. CLU’s north campus has been the temporary home of the team’s headquarters since the Rams returned to Southern California in 2016 after spending 21 seasons in St. Louis. The team’s corporate headquarters have been located in Agoura Hills. Rams officials have no comment on the “Times” report.
