(Honolulu, HI) — Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard may no longer have a home in the Hawaii Democratic party. She stirred up controversy last week after giving a speech at the 2022 Conservative Political Action Conference in Florida. Gabbard said she felt “right at home” at the event, but back at home, the Oahu County Committee of the Democratic Party of Hawaii was seeing it differently. They approved a resolution that condemned Gabbard for participating in CPAC, saying the event raised funds “that will harm Democrats across the country and make it harder to achieve the goals” of the party. The resolution also calls for the Committee to investigate whether Gabbard violated the party’s bylaws, constitution, or platform. If the investigation finds Gabbard committed a violation, she could be expelled from the Hawaii Democratic Party.
Tulsi: The GOP would welcome you.
