White House not doing ‘everything they can’ to aid Ukraine–Not banning Russian oil

(Washington, DC) — The White House is lukewarm to a suggestion to ban Russian oil imports. Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters making such a move would lead to a further escalation of gas prices. She said global sanctions against Russia are aimed at maximizing impacts on the Kremlin while minimizing impacts on the U.S. and allies. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is in favor of banning Russian oil imports.
