(Los Angeles, CA) – Amazon now owns M-G-M. The deal is finalized, giving the Seattle-based company ownership of the legendary Hollywood studio. Variety says the transaction is worth eight-point-five billion dollars. M-G-M’s catalog includes four-thousand films spanning its 98 years in business. It also includes over 14-thousand TV episodes. Those can be added to the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.
