Cigarette Use In 2020 Hits All-Time Low

(Atlanta, GA) — Fewer Americans than ever are smoking cigarettes. That’s according to the CDC which says 12-and-a-half percent of American adults lit one up in 2020. That’s the lowest number since 1965 when data began being collected. As for the overall look at tobacco product use during the pandemic-ravaged year, 19-percent of adults used them. That comes out to more than 47-million Americans.
