Biden Says He Wasn’t Calling For Regime Change In Russia Saturday

(Undated) — President Biden says he was not calling for new leadership in Russia following his improvised remarks Saturday. A reporter in the press pool asked the question of Biden Sunday and Biden said “No,” that he was not calling for a regime change. It came after Saturday, when during an address in Poland on the Ukraine situation, Biden ended the speech by saying “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.” The White House has been on defense ‘clarifying’ the comments since the president made them.
“A Texas congressman says President Biden’s controversial ad lib during his speech in Poland is more provocative than sending MiG fighter jets into Ukraine. Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, Republican Representative Michael McCaul said President Biden’s controversial ad lib during his speech in Poland is more provocative than sending MiG fighter jets into Ukraine. He agreed with the White House walking back a Biden statement seemingly calling for a regime change in Russia. The congressman added than “any time the United States has spoken out for regime change, it hasn’t worked out so well.” Instead, McCaul said the U.S. should be focusing on sending additional anti-aircraft weapons to Ukraine.
