(Sacramento, CA) — Prosecutors are alleging that three of the men killed in the K-Street mass shooting in Downtown Sacramento have ties to gangs. In court documents filed with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s office, investigators claim Joshua Hoye-Lucchesi, Devazia Turner and Sergio Harris were affiliated with gangs and that tensions were brewing between two rival groups before the shootout. Investigators say an Instagram video before the shooting shows the Martin brothers, who are two of the suspects in the investigation, and Hoye-Lucchesi, posing together with several firearms. The LA Times reports the video shows Smiley Martin and Joshua Hoye displaying gang hand signs to the camera, pointing firearms, and repeatedly stating allegiance to the Garden Blocc Crips. Authorities believe there were five shooters, so far three people have been arrested but none charged with being the shooter. One of those suspects is out on bail.
