(Simi Valley, CA) — Don’t be surprised to see goats happily munching away near the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley. The Ventura County Fire Department brought hundreds of goats to the property to help reduce wildfire danger. The animals will graze on dry grass and chaparral the next several weeks as part of the library’s annual wildfire prevention program. A firebreak created by goats was credited with helping firefighters save the Reagan Library’s campus after the Easy Fire surrounded it in 2019.
