(Washington, DC) — White House Chief Medical Adviser Anthony Fauci says he’d leave his post if former President Trump was re-elected in 2024. In an interview with CNN, Fauci was asked if he would stay on as chief medical adviser at the White House if Trump was once again president. Fauci responded by simply saying no. When asked if he had confidence in Trump’s ability to deal with a public health emergency should he serve another term as president, Fauci said the pandemic response under the Trump administration “wasn’t optimal”, even though he was in charge of the response.
