O’Rourke Shows Up To Abbott Briefing On Uvalde
(Uvalde, TX) — Beto O’Rourke childishly disrupted the Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s briefing on a South Texas deadly school shooting. The Democrat walked toward the dais in Uvalde this afternoon and commandeered the press conference–to blame the Republican for the attack. He was escorted out after being cursed at by those on stage. Abbott told reporters a short time later it wasn’t time to make political points, but come together. Fellow Republicans Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and House Speaker Dade Phelan criticized O’Rourke for walking up to the stage. Abbott and O’Rourke face each other in November in the governor’s race.

Death Toll Rises In TX School Shooting
(Uvalde, TX) — At least nineteen children are dead following a school shooting in South Texas on Tuesday. State police gave the grim update about the shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, which also killed two adults. It’s unclear if the adult death toll includes the shooter, who was killed by police. It is also possible that the death count will change. Uvalde is an hour and a half west of San Antonio. The shooter reportedly also shot his grandmother before entering the school and opening fire.
