How about the Former California Angels of Anaheim become the Long Beach Angels?

(Undated) — A Southern California coastal city is testing the waters on trying to bring baseball to the area. The Los Angeles Times reports that officials for Long Beach are pitching the idea to build a brand new ballpark for the L.A. Angels. In a statement, the city said the original idea was brought up to the team back in 2019, but the organization decided to stick with Angel Stadium in Anaheim. However, on Tuesday, the Anaheim City Council voted unanimously to shut a down a potential sale of the ballpark to Angels owner Arte Moreno. Long Beach said if the team wants to keep talking, they’re ready to listen.
