(Ann Arbor, MI) — Consumer sentiment is hitting a record low due to high inflation. The University of Michigan’s early reading for June fell 14-percent from last month. The survey noted nearly half of all consumers blamed inflation, a level not seen since the middle of the 1980 recession. A majority of consumers also mentioned supply shortages with many citing high gas prices as a top concern.
