Los Angeles County Expands Eligibility for the Monkeypox Vaccine
(Los Angeles, CA) — The monkeypox vaccine will become available to more people across Los Angeles County. Dr. Andrea Kim with the County Department of Public Health says they want to continue to vaccinate members of the community who are at the highest risk. Those eligible include patients already being served by community sexual health clinics, including gay and bisexual men along with transgender women. The monkeypox vaccine is a two-dose regimen. The virus is transmitted through human contact.
