Trump Reportedly Thinking About Launching New Presidential Run In September
(Washington, DC) — Former President Trump is reportedly thinking about launching another White House run in September. The Washington Post says Trump has been talking with advisers about who should run his third presidential campaign. Some Republicans worry a Trump launch before November could distract from GOP efforts to retake the House and Senate in the midterm elections. Democrats believe an early Trump launch could help them in November.
Top Trump ally Lindsey Graham told the Post — “If Trump is going to run, the sooner he gets in and talks about winning the next election, the better.” The South Carolina Republican senator said an early launch would “refocus his attention; less grievance, more about the future.”
