(Anaheim, CA) — The city of Anaheim is exploring different approaches to solve its budget deficit. Councilmembers are considering a ticket tax on large entertainment venues. The two-percent gate tax could produce 55 to 82-million dollars in new annual revenue based on attendance at Disneyland and the Honda Center. The money would go to the general fund and be used to provide general city services, like police, fire and emergency response and street maintenance. The city council is expected to discuss the proposal during their Tuesday meeting. If approved, Anaheim voters would get the final say this November
