(Washington, DC) — President Biden — who said he didn’t expect inflation to be a problem, then blamed Putin, Republicans, the global economy and others– doesn’t think the U.S. is headed into a recession. He spoke virtually with reporters and said he believes the national economy is transitioning from rapid growth to steady growth, echoing a theme his administration is trying to sell — unsuccessfully–to Americans. He also cited low unemployment– but not that wage growth has been less than inflation, causing pay cuts for American workers. Biden is still isolating and working remotely as he recovers from COVID.
Unsurprisingly, Biden Doesn’t Think U.S. Is Headed Into Recession. Do You?
