Burbank gets a sprinkler ban.

Some L-A County residents will not be allowed to use their sprinkler systems at all for a time next month.

Burbank will not allow outdoor irrigation for two weeks in September. All outdoor watering with sprinklers and automated irrigation systems will be off limits between September 6th and 20th. It’s not directly about the drought. Burbank officials say it’s because of repairs being made to a feeder that brings water to the city from the Colorado River Aqueduct. Watering lawns and plants by hand will still be allowed during the two-week period.
