Georgia Company Gave Inaccurate Credit Scores
(Atlanta, GA) — Equifax is accused of giving out inaccurate credit scores to millions of Americans this year. The Wall Street Journal says the Atlanta-based credit reporting agency falsely released incorrect scores for three weeks. Those impacted were applying for car loans, mortgages and credit cards at the time. Equifax is blaming the error on a coding issue and says the problem has been fixed.
