L.A. Residents Set Another Water Conservation Record

(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles residents continue to heed calls to conserve water according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. There was an 11-percent reduction in water usage in July, compared to July of last year. That was a record decrease for any July in L.A. In June, there was a nine-percent cut in water usage compared to last year. It was also the least amount of water used in any June on record in the city. The city is in phase 3 outdoor watering restrictions that went into effect June 1st. It includes watering two days a week instead of three for eight minutes tops per station and only at certain times of day.
