The union representing Los Angeles Unified School District teachers is filing an unfair practice charge against the district.

VERBATIM: United Teachers L-A claims the L-A-U-S-D unfairly added seven extra days to the school year. This year, there are four extra instructional days and three extra professional development days. All seven days are optional for both teachers and students. But, the U-T-L-A says the decision to add the dates should have been negotiated first.
