You Can’t Make This Up: WHO Issues Warning Against Attacking Monkeys, ATTACKING MONKEYS, During Monkeypox Outbreak

(Geneva) — Don’t attack monkeys. That’s the plea from the World Health Organization as more cases of monkeypox are confirmed around the world. The warning was issued after reports of at least 10 monkeys in Brazil that were poisoned and killed. The WHO has already declared monkeypox a public health emergency of international concern.

FDA Issues Emergency Use Authorization For Jynneos Monkeypox Vaccine

(Washington, DC) — The FDA is issuing an emergency use authorization for the JYNNEOS monkeypox vaccine. Adults 18 and over who have a heightened risk of contracting the disease will be eligible to receive the shot. FDA Commissioner Robert Califf said that with the rate at which monkeypox is spreading, the FDA needed to explore more options to make additional doses available.
