(Ann Arbor, MI) — Consumer sentiment is rising for the second straight month, as we are in a recession. The University of Michigan’s final reading for August gained over six points as it continued to rebound from an all-time low in June. Lower income consumers posted the largest gains in sentiment, but the overall outlook remains low by historical standards. The survey noted inflation remains a top concern for Americans despite some easing of gas prices.
We’re in a recession, but you are undaunted hopeful.
