(Undated) — Following California’s recent ban on the sale of gas powered cars, state officials are now asking residents to take it easy on the electrical grid. That includes not charging your electric vehicle. The state’s Independent System Operator is asking residents to voluntarily conserve energy as the Labor Day weekend gets rolling. It noted with excessive heat in the forecast, Californians are asked to reduce energy on a nightly basis starting today through September 6th. The ISO says other energy saving measures like turning off the lights and adjusting your thermostat will help prevent rotating blackouts.
