(San Diego, CA) — Despite comments from President Biden that the COVID-19 pandemic is over, those on the front lines of the public health crisis say otherwise. Doctor William Tseng [[ sang ]], Assistant Medical Director of Kaiser Permanente, says while people are moving on with their lives, they need to be aware of the risks the virus still poses and COVID-19 can still cause very serious illness. Dr. Tseng recommended everyone should have at least three shots of a COVID vaccine and if you’re sick with COVID symptoms, get on the monoclonal treatments as soon as possible. Health experts say half of recent virus-related deaths are elderly people or those with underlying health conditions, while the rest are unvaccinated. Doctors say more needs to be done to get this group vaccinated.
