(New York, NY) — Former President Trump says a civil lawsuit filed by New York’s Attorney General is “another witch hunt.” Letitia James filed the lawsuit against Trump for allegedly inflating his net worth. On his social media site Truth Social, Trump said James is a racist and gets “almost” zero support from the public. The former President called James a failed attorney general whose lack of talent in the fight against crime is causing record numbers of people and companies to flee New York. Trump added she’s a fraud who campaigned on a “get Trump” platform “despite the fact” that New York City is one of the crime and murder disasters of the world.

(Los Angeles) The  California Attorney General’s Office has notified the LA County Sheriff’s Department that it will take over the political corruption probe into county Supervisor Sheila Kuehl and the MTA

The investigation accuses Metro of steering a series of no-bid contracts worth more than $800,000 to Patricia Giggan’s nonprofit,  Peace Over Violence…that’s a sex-harassment hotline for Metro riders and employees. She’s a good friend of Kuehl.  Last week, deputies searched Kuehl’s home and office, along with offices at Metro, the Metro Office of Inspector General and  Giggans’ home and office. Sheriff Villanueva had reached out to Bonta asking him to investigate allegations that county Inspector General Max Huntsman and the county counsel’s office had tipped off Kuehl to the  search of her home by sheriff’s deputies.
